The art of interactive theatre is VERY different from traditional stage work and not all actors are trained in this performance style. You cannot just stick a costume on a model or an amateur and expect a solid, true interactive performance. If you want to have George Washington at your event, that actor MUST be able to "be" George Washington and talk to your guests AS George Washington or your audience will be disappointed or worse, disillusioned, and you will not achieve the effect you were trying to create.
